I started outlining and planning my novel in the summer of 2015. When I started, my only knowledge of writing was what I'd learned in my English 101 distance course to finish my degree. I've now read about 20 books this year as well as TONS of web articles and forum posts. I'm now ready to start posting some of the things I've learned. The writing part of my blog (coming soon) will contain articles on my research on the writing and publishing process as well as elements of my story to create the world (artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, rebellions, manipulating populations through technology and psychology, utopian/dystopian governments, and much more). I'll also mention different research sources I've used and what I think of them.
My novel is set 100 years after the collapse of society but every element of the story is based on already-proven technologies that are either used today or show promise as what will be used in the future - something very time-consuming to research.
The everything-else part of my blog (coming soon) that focuses on acting and writing a novel contains, well, everything else. It's whatever I feel like writing at the time so it's part personal blog and part catch-all for writing- and acting-related topics that you may find interesting such as blogging, creating income streams, doing what you want in life, and getting in shape.
